Celebs Of Every Stature Head To Barbados
When it comes to Barbados and Celebrities, the number one name on the list is suer Rhianna. Barbados even has ‘Rhianna day’. But in Barbados, you can expect to find a full farm of celebrities. From the finest free-range Hugh Grants and Beckhams through to the Z-grade wonders of British reality show first round dropouts. And yes, they’re mostly British, as this former colony enjoys closer than usual ties with the European island nation.
Hanging around below the Tropical Sky with a camera pointed at some secluded cove (in the hope that a random celebrity will walk by) seems to be a standard way of life for the Paparazzi of the Caribbean. In fact, if you’re a female celebrity who hasn’t been photographed wearing a bikini on a Barbados beach, you may be left wondering whether you’ve had a career at all. Even with all the privacy afforded by some of the swankier hotels, snaps will still be taken. It’s a somewhat sad reflection on the modern world. Remember, if you’re in the presence of a celebrity: even if they weren’t on their holidays, harassing them will only make you feel daft if you have the capacity to feel daft!
January was a particularly high-yield month for the Paparazzi harvest of celebrities on Holidays to Barbados(though it’s worth mentioning at this point that the majority seem to be about as British as they come, so prepare for some international blank faces). First up in this month’s swimwear section was English pop sensation (i.e. never heard of in the US at all) Eliza Doolittle, he did little more than stand around in a bikini on a Barbados beach. The same publications were quick to capture 36 year old ‘Silent Witness’ star Emilia Fox wakeboarding out on the waves, especially when her bikini bottoms started to slip to reveal her bum cheeks. Keeping his clothes on but nonetheless topless and out of shape was Michael Buble. Oh the horror Michael, you could have been there on Weddings abroad if you hadn’t screwed things up so royally with the superior Emily Blunt.
But why then do Celebrities comes to this place where they know they’re going to get snapped? Well, it’ll happen anywhere. And if it has to happen somewhere, why not in beautiful Barbados?
