What to wear in Maine in August?
I’m going with a group of people to Boothbay Harbor. I am the worst packer (of clothing in suitcases I mean) in the world. I always take too much and I want to learn to travel lighter. I have never been to Maine in August. I have never been to Maine come to think of it. What do people wear there…I am picturing pages torn from LLBean and Orvis…which is not really my style. OTOH, I don’t want to look like a dorky tourist or priss pot (which I am…a little bit), so I need some advice. I’m 61 and not as skinny as I would like to be, so be kind. I do have a nice bathing suit, one piece, so I’m not looking for swimwear advice. But what to wear during the day and evening at restaurants. I know it’s mostly casual, but my idea of casual in the summer is pressed linen. I don’t think that’s a good thing to pack…necessarily. See…I need help and lots of it. Shorts and t shirts, maybe jeans and a light jacket because some days may be cool
